Hey! Are you thinking about crowdfunding?

Reader,

I hope your summer is off to a great start! After finishing a successful NYC debut of Marrying Jake Gyllenhaal, I'm back in business supporting YOU!

Here are a few helpful tips to set you up for success in your future crowdfunding efforts:

Tip #1

Thou shalt not crowdfund alone.

Don't do it. You will exhaust yourself. Trust me.

Team work makes the dream work, and part of a successful campaign means enlisting others in your vision & in your dream! If you can enlist a team, you can raise the money. I promise :-)

Tip #2

Personalize, personalize, personalize

Successful crowdfunding campaigns are all about relationships. Many filmmakers think by posting on social media, their projects will miraculously get funded.

Crowdfunding is about community building, and boldly and clearly advocating for yourself & your project within that community. EVERYONE wants to be seen & heard, including your potential backers. A campaign is an awesome opportunity for you to show your community you care :-)

Tip #3

Start preparing NOW!

If you intend on launching a campaign in 2024, there is no time like the present. For $20K+ raises, you'll need at least 90 days to prepare a successful campaign.

Campaigns should wrap up before Thanksgiving, which means an October launch. Which means July is the LATEST you'll want to begin.

If this is YOU, and you need support, reply ASAP & I'll get you on the books for a consult :-)

Much love,

Melissa
